Journey to July Comp

Journey to my first ever figure competition - 14 weeks out and lots and lots of work to be done.

Wow where did that week go :)

Well lots happening - we had a bonfire last night - my husband just loves this time of the year. My granddaughter had her sparklers and all the pretty fire works kept popping up right near our house - wonder where they all came from - especially those really really loud ones - think someone was trying to scare us :)
Again food everywhere - had friends over and had four different types of cheese that I had to cut and dips and biscuits etc. I opened a packet of mixed salted nuts and put them in a container - I wanted to make sure they were fresh - so I bit a cashew in half with my teeth and spat it out and put the whole lot in the bin - now that is discipline - I knew if I ate even half of that cashew that would be the end of me :)
We had a BBQ with meat and sausages, bread, potatoes in jacket (cooked in the fire) with butter oozing everywhere - toasted marshallows and chocolates to finish off - oh and I forgot at the beginning we had little sausage rolls and spinach and ricotta bites - oh all so tempting. This little chicky babe had her salmon wrapped in foil and cooked in the fire with my veges - it was beautiful. I drank about 12 cups of green tea and was entertained by my husband who was having a wonderful time.

I sent photos to my coach and he said he could see a change - so I think that was good. He is re-doing my programme so I am waiting for it to come through.

I am having so much trouble with this posing - but the good news is about 10 days before comp I have to go to a conference at Surfers so I am going up a day early and Jo is going to spend a couple of hours with me teaching me the poses and my routine.
She sent me an email today to say she had finally finished the routine so that will be good. She promised me that it was really slow music and not much to learn - that is good because it takes me that long to get into the poses and I am so unco-ordinated LOL

My weight etc is not budging so will be keen to see what my next plan of attach is.

I will try and post one of my photos that I sent through - might be good motivation to bare myself to everyone so I push through to the 15th July.

I spend one full day at work this weekend, one full day cleaning up etc and one day gardening and entertaining my mother-in-law and granddaughter.

Be good everyone and hope you all had a great long weekend.

Yes Kimmy I agree with the others, you truly are focused and disciplined - spitting out a nut?? :) Very admirable, make sure you tell Richie :) Great pic Kimmy, you are coming up well, so stop that panicking! I think that's great news about Jo (as stated in email!) so it's all under control, just take one day at a time, and think about this - going to Lygon Street after our comp, to pig out on bread/pizza/pasta/dessert/wine, anything and everything you want :) Ooooh I cannot wait!!
